The typical person in the United States uses 100 gallons of water every day.

While not available on line at this posting - tonight's 60 Minutes had a couple of powerful chapters.
The one I'll write on is about children in poverty in the U.S. The projection is that close to 25% of all children in the U.S. live in poverty - that is, living in a family of four with an income of around $22,000 a year. The stories are moving and convicting for me, because I want to live a more generous life.
You can watch full episodes of 60 Minutes on line. I expect tonight's episode to be available tomorrow.
Went to the gym this afternoon and swam.
I'm not a good swimmer, but it's an awesome outside workout.
Yesterday’s awesomeness: I had a lot of fresh vegetables in the bin that I wanted to use at the peak of their freshness. I decided to make a dish. I call it “Roland’s Minestrone.” This dish is awesome because it tastes great, it’s amazing for you, and it prevents wasting good fresh vegetables.
Although I included meat, you don’t have to. This is a great vegetarian/vegan dish. And it packs well for lunch.
